Blue,Orange contemplates a contemporary Australian Landscape and the relationship between humans and nature within it. Blue, Orange

Single Channel HD Video with sound. 3:30 mins looped

Blue, Orange looks at the contemporary Australian landscape, it’s institutionalisation and the dogmatic symbols brandished upon it. Here a council road worker cuts up the landscape like a Japanese Samurai. His blue and orange uniform reflected in the landscape. The work incongruously throws Greek folk music into the mix and a new ‘folkloric’ dance becomes synonymous with the flight of creed. The work humorously questions symbol, creed and folklore within the Australian cultural landscape.
